Thermal heated explosion-proof cases of KShO-E type

Thermal heated cases КShО-E are used in automation systems of technological processes as a protective structure for electric equipment and control devices installation. Cases are made according to Technical Conditions 3433-044-32574607-2004

Symbolic notation structure of КShО-E

КShО-E-1 - thermal heated case of JSC "Energoprom" of explosion-proof modification, floor version with the casing sizes of 1800 × 800 × 630 mm;
КShО-E-1 (N) - thermal heated case of JSC "Energoprom" of explosion-proof modification, wall version with the casing sizes of 1400 × 800 × 630 mm;
КShО-E-3 - thermal heated case of JSC "Energoprom" of explosion-proof modification, wall version with the casing sizes of 1400 × 600 × 530 mm;
КShО-E-3 (N) - thermal heated case of JSC "Energoprom" of explosion-proof modification, wall version with the casing sizes of 1000 × 600 × 530 mm.

Operating conditions

КShО-E are intended for operation in potentially explosive environment, in premises of В-1a, В‑1g classes (according to PUE, ch.7.3) not containing current-conducting dust, in which formation of explosive mixes of gases and vapors with air of II, II-А, II-В, II-С categories of Е1‑Е4 groups in accordance with GOST Р 51330.13-99 is possible.

UHL climatic modification of installation category 1 is in accordance with GOST 15150-69.

Air temperature is from minus 60°С up to plus 45°С, with the temperature inside a casing, at temperature regulator being switched on, not lower than plus 5°С.

Height above sea level is up to 1000 m.

Explosion-proof level 2 of КShО-E (increased explosion-proof reliability) is provided with application of built-in electric equipment of corresponding explosion protection types and levels.

In КShО-E the following equipment can be installed:

limit switch of VPV-1А (1ExdIICT6) type;
terminal box of KP (2ExeIIT5) type;
electric radiator of OShA (2ExmIIT4X) type.

КShО-E has explosion protection marking as 2ExdemicsIICT4Х.

Design and action

Structurally KshO-E metal jacket is two-layer with heat-insulating material filling. Basic KshO-E sizes are given in table 1.4.

As a source of heat inside a case electric radiator is installed.

Rate of KShO-E protection is IP54 in accordance with GOST 14254-96. Doors are gasketed with cold-resistant rubber.
